Greetings everyone, I'm Chef Mubarak Tarik Abdullah, proud Seattle resident and community advocate. After honing my culinary craft for over 25 years in Seattle and Los Angeles, the moment has arrived to realize my dream of owning a restaurant. For the past two years, I've been at the helm of Cooka T's Vegan Stand, delighting patrons at Lumen Field with exceptional vegan fare. Now, it's time for my next culinary adventure: my very own restaurant.
Growing up in the central district and with my father's deep roots there, alongside my involvement in community initiatives like teaching cooking to kids at Coyote Central and collaborating with Wana Wari, the decision to establish my restaurant here was a natural one. Named Amin after my father's middle name, which signifies "blessed," we're aiming for a grand opening in the summer of 2024.
While construction progresses smoothly, additional funding is required to ensure a successful launch and cover initial operational expenses such as payroll and food costs for the first few months. With your support, I'm excited to introduce Amin to the central district, enriching the community with a vibrant culinary experience.
