Support the Keip Family in Fight Against Cancer

Friends and Family,
As you may or may not know, our good friends, the Keips (Troy, Sarah, and their son, Bernard) are dealing with an extremely difficult situation that no one should ever have to face. While most of us complain of our “overwhelming” day-to-day struggles, very few of us have had to deal with a terminal diagnosis that turns your world upside down in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, that is what Troy and Sarah are up against right now. Our hope is to raise enough money to support the Keips in their fight while providing some opportunities for some much needed rest and relaxation. We hope to reach our goal of $100,000 in order to achieve this.
In short, our friend Troy is very sick. In May 2020, he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. Troy and Sarah did intensive research and were able to get him into an experimental treatment study through Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Throughout the study, he made considerable progress as tumors shrunk considerably and his overall health improved. From the beginning, Troy has maintained a positive outlook while making great sacrifices in order to outlast a disease that has a median survival rate of two to six months. Sadly, Troy and Sarah recently received news that a new mass was discovered in his liver and that he could no longer participate in the study. As a result, Troy no longer has access to a drug called Devimistat, which is likely responsible for his tremendous progress from the outset along with chemotherapy. Although hope is not lost, this is a significant setback for Troy and his family.
Here is how funds will be allocated:
-Assistance with medical costs for Troy’s treatments
-Funding for a much-needed family trip
-Any remaining funds will go directly to the Keip family
Troy and Sarah Keip are truly the best people you will ever meet. They are humble, kind, generous, and self-reliant. They have always been there for friends and family whether it is with life advice, home improvement needs, or to share their love at countless gatherings and occasions. They are wonderful parents to their amazing son Bernard (age 2) and their beloved dogs, Wally and Piper. There has never been a time when the Keips weren’t there for us. Now is the time for us to be there for them. We love the Keips will all our hearts and will be there for them every step of the way as they push forward on this arduous journey.
