Help with Funeral Expenses for Anne (Kelly) Sousa

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Anne (Kelly) Sousa, on August 25th, 2024, at 4:15 pm. After a long and courageous six year battle with a Grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma. Anne was admitted to St. Luke’s Hospital on August 18th due to an infection. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, she was diagnosed with sepsis, and her organs began shutting down quickly and she passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Throughout her life, Anne was a beacon of strength, compassion, and love. She was a Registered Nurse, an entrepreneur, and held a special place in her heart for the elderly, disabled, and those with Down syndrome. Her vibrant personality and stylish flair, made her a memorable presence to everyone who knew her.

Unfortunately, due to the aggressive nature of her illness and the medications she was on, Anne was unable to secure a life insurance policy. Several life insurance companies denied her coverage, leaving us unprepared for the financial hardship of funeral expenses.

As a family, we have pooled together as much as we can, but we are still falling short of the necessary funds to give Anne the proper farewell she deserves. We humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards covering funeral expenses and helping us honor Anne's memory in the way she deserves.
