Support the Kemps in Rebuilding Their Lives

My parents, Tom and Marie Kemp, had a house fire on September 26th, 2024, resulting in the complete loss of their home and all of their belongings. They were not home when the fire started and are safe and staying with me until they can rebuild and get back on their feet.

Two dogs are safe, but they still have three dogs that are unaccounted for, which we hope got out with the other one that was found running on the street in town. There have been possible sightings of the husky and maybe the Plott hound, so our hopes are still up that they got out. There are also four cats that we have not seen yet.

Insurance will cover some of their loss, but it won’t be enough to cover everything. So, if you can donate or help in any way, we would appreciate it. Thanks to the fire department, EMS, friends, and family that have already helped so much.

9/28. Sad update today. All 3 dogs were found deceased in the house this morning. Thank you to everyone who helped look for them and for all of your love and support in these difficult times. 

We did spot one cat outside so that’s good news, still 3 cats to find yet. 

We will also be setting up an account at Woodford State Bank in Blanchardville. I’ll update the post when we get that set up.
