Support Daniel and Annie King: Help Them Build Their Accessible Home
Dear friends and family,
We’re reaching out to ask for your support for Daniel and Annie King, a family who has endured incredible challenges over the last three years.
Daniel, a dedicated soldier, joined the Pennsylvania National Guard in 2018 and later transitioned to Active Duty in 2021. He and Annie, along with their two children Ethan and Amanda, embarked on an Army adventure that was tragically cut short when Daniel suffered a reaction to the COVID booster in February 2022.
Preparing to attend Ranger School, Daniel was required to receive the vaccine, but the reaction left him with debilitating nerve pain, headaches, memory loss, and cognitive decline. Over the past two years, they have visited countless hospitals, doctors, and specialists without finding relief or answers. This life-altering event has led to Daniel’s medical retirement, ending the military career he was so passionate about.
Despite these hardships, Daniel and Annie remain hopeful and are now settling in Western Pennsylvania on a piece of land where they hope to heal, reconnect, and rebuild their lives. Their new home will be a sanctuary for their family, designed with wheelchair accessibility to meet their specific needs.
Here are the things they need in order to complete their home and have it wheelchair accessible.
Cleanup Trash: $3,000
Build a Porch with a Wheelchair Ramp: $3,000
Foundation with Concrete Floor, Block Foundation, and I-Beams: $10,000
Well Pump and New Casing: $4,000
Power Hookup: $3,500
Extend the Lane and Create a Paved or Concrete Wheelchair-Accessible Area: $6,500
Their total need is $30,000, and every donation brings them closer to a safe, accessible home where they can focus on healing and moving forward as a family.
Daniel and Annie’s story reminds us of the sacrifices made by our military families and the strength it takes to overcome unexpected challenges. Let’s show them they’re not alone.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser to help them reach their goal. Together, we can help them start this new chapter with the stability and support they deserve.
