Support the Knierim Family After the Pali Fire

Hello everyone! On Tuesday, January 7, fires broke out throughout the Pacific Palisades and the rest of Los Angeles. Thousands of people in Los Angeles have been affected, including our dear friends, the Knierims. So many people have reached out to help the Knierims and other families, so we are setting up this fund to ensure that support is easy, and we can continue to update you on the situation here.

My name is Katharine (Kate) Jerkens, and I have been friends with the Knierims since our girls were in kindergarten. I am a Mar Vista resident, and I am safe here with my husband, our three children, and our dog. Today, I sat down with the Knierims to find a way to help them streamline the incredible outpouring of support that they have been given.

We have set up an email address that friends of the Knierims will manage. We are not able to share it via GoFundMe (their policy) - Jacqui and I can share this email with you by email or text. If you

don't have funds to donate but would like to look at donating gift cards (for example: Amazon, Postmates), have points to convert (for example: Amex, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt), or have leads on short and long-term rentals, please reach out to this email address. We will be monitoring throughout the day and will ensure that we respond.

The Knierims are fortunate to have renters insurance and will begin getting back on their feet in this community they love. They are surrounded by so many offers of support from this community and want to pay back the favors. They will use only what is needed and distribute the rest to those in need.
