Support the Knuth-Jacobson Family's Recovery

Hello Friends,

I've created this fundraiser on behalf of my brother John and his beautiful family, Taylor and Mateo.

The Knuth-Jacobson Family lost their home and everything in it in the Eaton Fire in Altadena on January 8, 2025. The family is safe and staying with friends. There is a long road of recovery ahead.

John, Taylor, and Mateo have made their home in Altadena for nearly a decade. They love and are embedded in their neighborhood, the Altadena community, and the broader arts community in LA. All of these parts of their lives have been devastated.

Mateo started pre-K near their home last fall. He loves playing with the family dog, Teddy, and biking around the neighborhood.

John and Taylor both work in creative fields—visual art and interior design, respectively. They have lost the beautiful home they have created together, including many irreplaceable pieces of art, furniture, and objects that hold meaning in their lives. John lost 25 years of his archives and artwork.

While some things may be irreplaceable, the community they are part of is strong and asking how to support them. Together, we can help them rebuild their lives going forward.

If you are able, please contribute any amount that feels right to you to help the Knuth-Jacobson family recover. The donations will go directly to help them cover huge immediate expenses, including clothing, personal items, food, and securing housing.

With so much loss in the LA community, I am grateful for countless people coming together to help. Thank you for your support of John, Taylor, and Mateo in rebuilding their lives.
