Support the Krol Siblings After Tragic Loss

Life can change in an instant, and our family is facing an unimaginable tragedy. My three younger siblings and I have lost our father to suicide. In the wake of this devastating loss, I have created this GoFundMe to help support them through what is undoubtedly the most difficult journey of their young lives.

My dad was a hard worker with relentless ambition. Once he set his mind to something, it was going to happen. He landed a job straight out of law school and quickly became one of the best plaintiff attorneys in the area. After only 12 to 13 years practicing as an attorney, he decided to venture out on his own and founded a new law office with his partner. It took immense courage to do this without any guaranteed income or safety net and 4 children to raise on his own, including 2 in college. His unwavering confidence drove him to succeed, with the practice thriving for the past 3 years. The culture at his firm was incredible. He was the heart of the firm, balancing a professional demeanor with a silly side that made the workplace unique. He secured many big verdicts and built a reputation as someone hundreds of clients could turn to for guidance. He was always respected and known for his unwavering dedication and valuable advice. He put himself through law school while raising two kids and working two jobs. He was at the top of his class. From the time he was able to work, he always had a job. He was creative, open-minded, and loved reading Garfield comics. He played soccer from a young age and continued throughout his life. He was passionate about running and completed several marathons.

Dad was deeply involved in my younger siblings lives, firstly with Phoenix, 20. Whenever she faced challenges, he was there to motivate her and remind her of what she was capable of. His steady support made a big difference in helping her stay focused and get through it all. Brennan, 13, loved having his dad coach his football team. Despite his busy schedule, dad always made sure to find time to support Brennan and his teammates. Brennan loves exercising and always smiles. He loves goofing off with his younger brother and cares about everyone around him. Our youngest sibling, Everett (11), loved hiking with dad at Shenandoah because it was a chance for them to bond through a shared experience. Everett is a sweet kid and loves drawing and playing video games (Mario Brothers). Lastly, my dad guided me to become the woman I am now, he emphasized the importance of putting in effort and dedication to achieve my goals. He taught me to never give up when faced with adversity and to learn from my mistakes. Of countless things my father provided me, my favorite might be the freckles we both shared.

Now, my siblings are without their only parent and role model. We are heartbroken and facing an uncertain future, and I am now their sole caregiver. The sudden loss of our father has left us without the financial stability he worked tirelessly to provide. As we grieve and try to adjust to a life we never could have imagined, my focus is on ensuring that my siblings have everything they need to move forward—whether that’s food, clothing, education, housing, or emotional support.

Our goal is to raise funds to help cover both immediate and long-term expenses, including:

Funeral expenses

Daily essentials (food, clothing, school supplies)

Medical and counseling services to help us process and cope with this devastating loss

Educational support to give them hope for a bright future

Household and caregiving costs as we navigate this new reality

I’m doing everything I can to provide my family with stability, love, and security, even in the face of overwhelming grief. No child should have to endure such heartache and I want to ensure my siblings have the care and support they deserve.
