Support the Krous'

Jason and Shannon were married on St. Patrick’s Day in 2008. Fast forward to May 2019 when Jason was diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy requiring two eye surgeries. Shortly after, in September 2019, Shannon was diagnosed with Stage 3 cervical cancer. Her treatment ended in January 2020, and all seemed clear until August 2020 when the cancer returned at Stage 4 with metastasis to the liver and both lungs. Shannon once again began treatment, starting chemotherapy and radiation the Monday before Thanksgiving 2019. That particular round of treatment lasted until January 2020, and a new plan has since commenced with three different kinds of high-dose chemotherapy and no radiation. The current process is expected to take upwards of 6 months.

Jason works full-time at Walmart while caring for his wife and (almost) teenage daughter Izabell, while Shannon continues to clean houses as much as she can physically handle. This full schedule, however, has not stopped them from going out of their way to care for other people though in whatever way they can. Shannon, in particular, is notorious for her servant heart and putting other people first. Now, it’s our turn to help them.

Aside from the obvious physical and emotional stress that both Jason and Shannon have endured in the past year and a half, it’s not hard to understand the financial strain they are currently experiencing as well, due to necessities, medical bills, time away from work, etc. With everything going on with this family, we would love to be able to bless Jason and Shannon with some funds to cover some necessary bills (groceries, electricity, gas, cell phone, etc.) through the end of this next treatment cycle.
