Support the Lebanon Fire Department

Hello! My name is Alex Smith and I am a Boy Scout from Troop 500. I am currently in the process of working on my Eagle Scout project, of which I will be constructing a gear drying rack for the Lebanon Fire Department. Gear dryers are used by fire stations across the country to help decrease the risk of cancer for our first responders by encouraging more frequent suit washing. When firefighters rush into fires, their suits absorb many toxic carcinogens from the extreme environment around them. In cleaning their gear of these harmful substances the suits can take days to fully air dry, which can be dangerous in cases of emergency. A gear dryer like the one I would be creating would mitigate this dry time from a few days into a few hours through the use of blowdrying. The money that is raised will be used to obtain the materials and tools needed for the construction of my project.
