Support the Lee Family After Palisades Fire
Donation protected
Update 1:
Thank you friends and family from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring of love, generosity, prayers, and support. It is so overwhelming and the Lees are speechless and so touched by all the donations pouring into this space and beyond, from friends long ago, acquaintances, strangers, current community...it's so so heartwarming.
Also, as you may have seen on their Instagram & Facebook, their house has completely burned to the ground. They're currently staying with their sister (along with their parents who also had to evacuate) in Yorba Linda. With everything going on, he's still committed to preach this Sunday (please tune in - https://www.renewchurch.la/messages). They're also working with their insurance company, looking for semi-permanent housing, and caring for their daughters' well-being as the whole family continues to process all that's happened in the short amount of time. Their older daughters were also home from college while this unfolded. Thank you for your patience, grace, and love on this family as they sort through this new reality.

Our beloved friend and pastor - Dihan and Julie Lee, and their entire family have been tragically impacted by the recent Palisades Fire in Los Angeles on Jan. 7, 2025. They had to quickly evacuate their home with their children and few belongings early Tuesday afternoon. While taking shelter nearby at their church in Santa Monica, they soon learned that their home was completely burned and consumed by the fires. Their home had been a blessing and gift from God - starting back from their journey of faith to move from Virginia to Culver City to start a church for people of all walks of life and a haven for the hurt. And now in an instant, they no longer have a physical place to call home.
Dihan and Julie have been the ministering family who've laid their praying hands over hundreds of families, driving over to our homes to pray over us and walk with us in our hurts - over medical, spiritual, mental, or past pains. Now, we have the opportunity to bless them back with our prayers and if so compelled, to financially help fill in a bit of the huge gap they have. They're facing a juggernaut, scrambling to find another place to live, exhaust any insurance options (major insurance companies have dropped fire protection in this area) and repurchase furniture, clothes, and basic needs of living. Your giving will help their efforts to build back a temporary place to call home while they sort through the next steps.
Their faith remains strong and they are hopeful to rebuild out of the literal ashes. We hope you can join us in being part of their story of resilience and provision. Thank you!
p.s. this gofundme is written by Connie Cho - childhood friend of Julie Lee and Tina Dario - Renew Church elder and faithful friend of the Lees. We've been so touched by the Lees in our lives through our own personal journeys, so this is the very little bit we can do to help in-kind for the ways they've loved us and journeyed with us through our difficult times. We so appreciate your support.
