Support the Legacy of Randy Long in West Jefferson

Randy Long left this earth at age 65 on May 2nd, 2022 leaving behind his wife, family and many friends. We are honoring the memory of his contagious smile, one-liner jokes and spirit of compassion in a relaxed, "hang-out" environment, just as Randy would have wanted. Dirty boots and cut-off shirts are acceptable attire! Join us on Sunday, July 21st, 2024 at 5:00pm at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park, White Oak shelter picnic area.

Born and raised in West Jefferson, Ohio, he was known by many in the quaint, tight-knit community. Randy continued his life and raised his family on the same street he grew up on. After spending time in the US National Guard, Randy was employed by the Ohio Seed Company among other trucking/distribution companies. On his days off, you may remember seeing Randy walking the streets of West Jefferson, fishing or tinkering around in his garage or garden. He had a love for his family and creating things with his hands. Randy has been and will continue to be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In honor of his memory, Randy's family would like to continue to give the community that he loved. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to this campaign to purchase a park bench for the West Jefferson Parks and Recreation department. Additional funds raised will also go back into the community near to the hearts of his family and friends for additional enhancements.
