Support the Lewy Body Dementia Association
Tax deductible
Hi friends, join me in making a difference by supporting a good cause! I'm raising money for the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA). The person who provides the highest donation by the end of February will receive the pictured cutting board, which has been the most complicated and time-consuming cutting board I've built to date. It's constructed from cherry, walnut, maple, red oak, white oak, and sapele.
Many aren't aware that LBD is the second most common type of dementia after Alzheimer's. Protein deposits called Lewy bodies develop in nerve cells in the brain. The protein deposits affect brain regions involved in thinking, memory and movement. LBD is a progressive disease for which there is no cure. Life expectancy after symptoms start is typically 5-7 years.
The LBDA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of LBD, supporting people with LBD, their families and caregivers and promoting scientific advances. The Association's purposes are charitable, educational, and scientific.
