Support the Luis Adrián Cortez Scholarship

The Luis Adrián Cortez Scholarship was created in loving memory of Luis Adrián Cortez. Since 2021, his family, along with friends, have been able to fundraise a total of $6,500 thus far and have awarded 6 scholarships to 6 incredibly deserving individuals. We hope to keep this tradition going indefinitely!!!

Luis Adrián was known for being full of life and love. When Adrián entered a room, he always added value to the spaces and lives of those around him. He was always the first to ask others about their day and how to help without hesitation. He enjoyed making others smile through acts of kindness and was extremely driven, as well as, hardworking.

Adrián truly had passion for helping others, his Mexican culture, and his education. Aside from his full-time school workload, Adrián also worked outside of school and was excited to be able to become more independent. He had recently joined Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and was ready to take on leadership in the club and prepare for college.

This scholarship is intended to assist an SHH student who shares a passion for helping their community, who is proud of their culture, and who wants to reach their dream of achieving higher education. The team is comprised of his family and closest friends. Following the loss of Adrian, they came together to ensure his story carried on.
