Support the Madden Family

At 2:38am on October 27th, the Madden family's apartment was consumed by a devastating fire. Felicia's oldest son Bryant was alerted to smoke that was coming in through the back door when Blue, the family dog, wouldn't stop barking. Bryant got up and told his brother Ryan to wake their mother. By the time Ryan woke Felicia, she could see the flames starting to pour into the apartment from the back door. Ryan was able to get Blue and they fled with the clothes on their backs. Their sister Jasmine was staying with family when the fire broke out.


Although Felicia, Bryant, Ryan, Blue and Bobby, one of the cats, were able to escape they lost the other cat, Pudding as well as the two turtles. When the firefighters extinguished the fire four hours later all of their belongings and personal possessions had been destroyed. They were able to put all that remained into a bookbag. Felicia is thankful they were able to make it out safely but they are now without a home and due to unfortunate circumstances the family's renter's insurance had lapsed.

We are raising funds on their behalf, to help fund the purchase of clothing, shoes, furniture, bedding, linens, kitchenware, school supplies, etc for them. Victims of fires face tremendous emotional stress and financial costs, and we hope this fund will help alleviate some of the challenges that Felicia and her children are facing as they try to move on, and rebuild their lives. In this uncertain time, we know many people are facing hardships and we are extremely grateful for any donation.
