Support the Maki family

Brett Maki lived for his children, family and friends . He built his girls fairy gardens with a mailbox in the backyard. He built them a “girls only” fort in their attic. He was known as the Drop off Dad or Mr. Mom in his community. Brett coached his daughter’s softball team, let his daughters braid his hair and paint his toenails. Brett loved his girls and his world simply revolved around them. At the center of his world was his wife, Carla. College sweethearts who shared the same birthday who seemed to be destined to be together since birth. Married happily for nearly 12 years before this unfortunate tragedy has struck. On Sunday June 4th, Brett was involved in a devastating accident. After a week of fighting, Brett succumbed to his injuries. Although Brett leaves the ones he loves, he does so in a heroic fashion, donating his liver, kidneys, heart valves, and sternum so that others have a second chance at life. We, who support Carla, ask that if you’d like to contribute to the Maki family you consider donating to this charitable cause to help the family. Your contributions will help ensure college is secured for their two little girls, finances become less of a worry for a single mother and above all else, allow them to stay in their community that has come together and support them throughout these unexplainable times.
