Support The Marin Family
Meet the Marin Family. As many of you know, Francisco Javier Marin is battling brain cancer. To us he is "Frankiko," "Pancho," "Cisco," or simply "Fran". Help us raise financial support for Frankiko, Tiffany, and Emma Rose Marin!
It began as a severe headache and no medical insurance. On September 14th 2013, Francisco was admitted to the hospital when doctors discovered a 6-7cm tumor on his left frontal lobe. Surgery was performed to remove the tumor but the biopsy results confirmed their worst fears.
Francisco was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 3, an aggressive primary brain tumor. He is 27 years old.
The young family has faced a difficult road thus far. Ten days after surgery, Francisco was rushed back to the hospital and underwent a second surgery. This time to stop bleeding at the surgery incision after a brain vessel burst. We embraced Francisco firmly and reminded him we would always support Tiffany and Emma. He needed to focus on his recovery and battle ahead.
Francisco, has since completed the prescribed 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatment. On December 12th, right before the holidays, Francisco and Tiffany learned of a second tumor. The location of the tumor; however, makes surgery unlikely. Francisco is currently undergoing a yearlong course of strong chemotherapy treatment.
Over the last 4 months, the Marin Family has depleted their savings and needs your help. Before the diagnosis, Francisco was the family primary provider while Tiffany worked as family's primary caregiver. Your donation can help supplement toward their medical, travel, and living expenses. I have seen so much resilience from both Tiffany and Francisco. Your support, whether financial or emotional (in the forms of comments), would mean so much to them in this stressful and challenging time.
We pray that Francisco may be CANCER FREE in 2014! Please keep the Marin Family in your prayers. We love you Francisco, Tiffany, and Emma Rose Marin!
