Support the ☀️ MariSon Project for Hospice Training
Donation protected
The MariSon (Marilyn + Sonya) Project is a hospice and palliative care training program in honor of Marilyn Troyer Yoder (5/29/42 - 4/4/99) and Sonya Yoder-Beery (2/26/72 - 3/4/25), who died in their 50s from metastatic breast cancer.
The MariSon Project GoFundMe will be used to support a hospice and palliative care training program focused on best practices for end-of-life care for dying people. The money raised by the MariSon GoFundMe will be matched by the endowed MariSon Fund established at Ball State by Greta Yoder Slater and D. Nicholas Slater in the College of Health.
We plan to fund a certificate program, speaker series, stipends for student practicums, travel for students and faculty to attend conferences, stipends for faculty interested in hospice research, and continuing education for professionals working in hospice and palliative care. Your donations will support and promote the legacy of these two beautiful souls and the ongoing training of professionals doing this important work.
Thank you for your donation to the MariSon Project GoFundMe. ❤️
