Support the McBride Family in Their Time of Loss

Meet the McBride Family--Kerby and Andrew were ecstatic when they found out they were expecting their third child. Soon after the exciting news, their baby girl was diagnosed with a severe case of Ebstein’s anomaly and severe pulmonary valve regurgitation. This congenital heart defect causes the heart to enlarge and restrict the development of the baby’s lungs. To summarize the effects of the diagnosis, once their baby girl is born, her heart will be unable to pump blood to the rest of her body, and her lungs will be too underdeveloped to breathe. The McBrides have met with many doctors and specialists over the last several months to better understand this diagnosis and find ways to help their baby. They have received the same news every time: surgery won’t be an option, and their baby girl will not live once delivered.

Kerby and Andrew are both devastated and heart-broken with the news. In addition, they are currently burdened with medical bills, making funeral arrangements, and taking time away from work to mourn the loss of their baby girl.
