Support the Mead Family

As friends of the Mead family, we have set up this GoFundMe with their permission to help them with expenses for Joanna’s memorial service.

Right now the Mead family is experiencing a loss that is greater than some of us can imagine, and all too familiar to those of us who have lost a loved one.

Joanna was a magnetic person. She was someone everyone wanted to know and be around. To know her was to love her. The smile, the laughter, the curly hair - her trademark. It seemed wherever she went there was laughter in the room.

She had a servants heart and much of her time was dedicated to serving in a ministry position in both the US and internationally. She has touched many hearts far and wide, which makes the news of her death that much more painful.

Joanna was reported missing Sunday July 7th and was found July 10th after she had passed.

The family is now making arrangements for her memorial service which is to be held at Newlife Church in Port Orchard WA, Friday July 19th at 2pm.

But we do not mourn without hope. For we have the confidence that Joanna knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and that she is being held by Him now. All of her guilt, shame, sadness, hurt…all wiped away forever and replaced with healing, joy, true love and righteousness.

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13+14

Joanna is survived by her parents Paul and Carrie Mead and her siblings Kylie, Caitlyn and Levi.
