The Michelle J. Starr Memorial Scholarship

This May will mark the 7th annual Michelle Starr Memorial Scholarship.

Kim, Kristin, Nicholas, and I - along with our step-dad, David Starr - set this scholarship up to honor her work and her life by creating an annual scholarship in her name at ABRHS. The scholarship will be given to a student from her program each year; the first was awarded in May 2019.

We miss her more than words and hope she is smiling down knowing she will continue to make a difference; This GoFundMe is our attempt to ensure we can offer this scholarship for years to come!

”This scholarship was created to honor the memory of Michelle Starr, who devoted her life to the caring and teaching of children and to the students of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School during the last 20 years of her career in education. Michelle was a trusted adviser and fierce advocate of all students. She made many contributions during her tenure at AB and in her own quiet way, helped her students believe that they were capable of great things. Awarded to a graduating college-bound senior who through determination and perseverance has demonstrated his/her desire for academic success. Recipients of this scholarship should demonstrate many of the characteristics and qualities that Michelle exhibited in her own life; a strong work ethic, a commitment to helping others and a belief that one can and will succeed.”
