Our lives can change in an instant, and rarely are we prepared.

Would you please join me in supporting the recovery of Mitchell Owens, the award-winning design journalist, recently named editor in chief of the Magazine ANTIQUES, contributor to The World of Interiors and AD, and my longtime friend. An intrepid bon vivant and raconteur, you likely know him as one of the leading interiors and decorative-arts experts of our time.

Mitch has suffered a serious stroke, and though he is resilient, receiving excellent care, and hoping to return to his desk as soon as he can, this recovery period is an unexpected—and extraordinary—challenge for him; his husband, Matthew Zwissler; and their daughters Catherine, 22, and Gemma, 7.

A special Mitchell Owens Recovery Fund has been established to help cover his medical bills and living expenses during this important time of transition—a healing period of perhaps several months without income.
