Support the Mitchem family through Nathan's accident

** UPDATE
Tareja, Nathan, and their families first want to thank everyone who has donated to Nathan's cause so far. We are extremely thankful and humbled by the outpour of love, support, resources, and prayers.
As of June 26, the family has decided to raise the fundraising goal due to more information on Nathan's condition, long-term impacts to his ability to work, and insurance issues. Please keep reading for more information:
— Thankfully, Nathan's leg was not broken, but he will need a surgery on his ACL in addition to surgery on his ankle, which was broken and required surgery. He is required to be off his ankle for 4-6 weeks. While he does not have any breaks in his spine or neck, he does have fractures. We are extremely thankful to report he has no damage to his spinal cord.
— Nathan has been moved from the ICU to a standard hospital room. After his hospital stay, doctors are moving him to a physical rehabilitation center for ongoing treatment and healing. This, of course, will be an additional expense not covered by insurance.
— The family is still uninsured, meaning each procedure, surgery, and stay is coming out of pocket.
— When Nathan does return home, he will be unable to take any stairs. Because of this, the family needs to find new housing, which will result in more expenses correlated with relocation.
— Nathan will not be able to return to work for a minimum of 3-6 months. Previously, he was doing manual work that he will not be able to return to. The family will need living expenses for at least the next 6-8 months while they navigate Nathan's healing and future employment options.
— Due to a clerical error which is being contested by the family, the bike Nathan was riding at the time of the accident was also not insured.
Here's how you can help:
1. We humbly ask that you continue to donate towards the family's mounting expenses. This will be a long road — every penny supports Nathan's wife and two young children.
2. Please continue to pray for Nathan's healing, pain, and the family.
3. If you'd like to contribute in other ways, including gas cards, DoorDash/other meal delivery cards, please reach out directly.
4. Share! This is a free way you can support the family — we thank you for sharing Nathan's story.
--------------
On Sunday, June 23, Nathan Mitchem was struck by a pickup driver while riding his motorcycle. The driver chose to flee the scene, leaving Nathan in the road with a broken leg and other injuries. Thankfully, he was found by other drivers on the road who saved his life by calling for help. He is now in the ICU with extensive injuries, including a possible broken neck and back.
We are hoping to raise a minimum of $25,000 to help Nathan, his wife Tareja, and their two young children during this difficult time. Nathan is the primary financial provider for his family, and as entrepreneurs the family does not currently have medical insurance. Any amount that you're able to contribute would be a huge blessing to this family.
If you're not able to give, please consider sharing this post so that others might see it and lend a helping hand — above all else, please pray for Nathan, Tareja, their children, and Nathan's medical team.
