Support The Moms of Furries' Global Mission

Hello! We are Carrie and Joelle, also known as The Moms of Furries. In 2018, we created our organization to support young members of the Furry Fandom. Our mission is to create inclusive, safe, and welcoming spaces for youths, and their families, fostering a community that celebrates creativity, individuality, and acceptance.

We have recently been invited to participate in a furry arts festival in Rotterdam, https://otterdam.art.At the festival, we will share our experiences and promote the importance of inclusive spaces for young furries and their families, similar to what we advocate for in the US.

The furry fandom is an inclusive community that attracts a high number of LGBTQIA+ identifying and neurodivergent members. We provide a welcoming space for those who find it difficult to connect with others in traditional settings. We also offer support for parents and guardians of furries to ask questions and connect.

Since our beginning, we have worked diligently to create a safe and welcoming environment for young furries to socialize, express themselves, and interact without fear of judgment. We have been a valuable resource for young furries and their loved ones, providing support online and at events. One of our most popular forms of support is our Young Furry Chill Space (YFCS), which we host at conventions and festivals. This space is dedicated to young attendees and their adult chaperones. Our efforts have positively impacted numerous lives, offering a supportive network for those navigating the often challenging journey of self-discovery and self-expression.

We are very excited to be offered the opportunity to share our message in Rotterdam. However, we need financial support to make this happen. Your generous contribution will help us make a meaningful impact at the festival and continue our important work of fostering a community that celebrates diversity and individuality. We are extremely thankful for any support you can offer, whether through a donation or by helping us spread the word.

All donations will either be used to fund travel to Rotterdam if we get close to our goal, or put into the Moms of Furries' general fund (if we don't get close enough to our goal or if we go over) - a fund used to purchase supplies and cover other expenses, enabling us to continue offering our Young Furry Chill Space at conventions.
