Support The Mosby Foundation in Bella's Memory

Hiya! If you know anything about me, you know how much I loved my dog Bella. She was my best friend, my "dogter", my travel companion all around the world, and she spent years nuzzling away my tears. On April 17th, I took Bella to the vet because of a bad cough - the veterinarian walked her back into the room where I was waiting with a sad look on her face. I didn't process many of the words that were coming out of the vet's mouth, but the one that I did hear was "cancer". Bella passed away from lung cancer (the rarest form of cancer that only 1% of dogs get) on May 12th, just a few short weeks after I even found out she had cancer. One month ago, Bella was happily running around with her ball in the backyard - you'd have had no idea that she was sick! In the 25 days in between finding out that Bella had cancer and her passing away, I spent close to $9,000 trying to get her the help she needed (vet visits, medicines, X-rays, seeing an animal oncologist, purchasing chemo that she never got to start taking, etc.). Whereas I am extremely grateful that I was able to financially take these steps in hopes of helping Bella, slowing her cancer, etc., there are many pet owners that do not have this ability to try to help their animal due to lack of finances and the INSANE cost of animal medical care. In the wake of Bella's death, I feel compelled to help those who may find themselves in a situation similar to mine, but without the necessary funds to help their beloved animal. I couldn't save Bella, but I'm sure there are plenty of dogs out there who can be helped if only their owners get some financial assistance.

Thus, I'm raising money to benefit The Mosby Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact. To further help support the animals in need, I am going to match 100% of donations made up to $1,500.
