Support the Navarro Family After Devastating Loss

My name is Briana Navarro. a long time resident of Altadena, California. I shared a home with my 2 daughters and grandmother who's owned the home for 30+ years.

We made the choice to evacuate quite early in the evening because a family member promptly offered their home to us. We offered my grandmother to come with us, but the fire didnt seem to be a threat at the time. She decided she wanted to stay. After we left, I asked my dad to go to the house to check on her.. which he did immediately... and again, she said she was going to stay at home.

I was able to keep in contact with my grandmother until 1:30am, and shortly after my texts weren't getting delivered. We continued to monitor the news and social media updates regarding evacuation notices for different areas in Altadena. Her last text to my dad was at 3:30am which read "They're evacuating me, please give me a call back." That was the last contact we had with her. Unfortunately, our house burned down in the early hours of the morning.

We have lost everything due to the fire and are truly devastated having to deal with this immense loss. We'd appreciate your willingness to help out and support our family during this difficult time. Thank you deeply.
