Support the Nelson Family in Their Time of Loss

This Go Fund Me was created in order to help a family that never asks anyone for much, but could greatly use the assistance of others right now.

Before the dust could settle on the hardship that was burying their mother and grandmother, the Nelson's were struck with an unthinkable tragedy. David was unexpectedly hospitalized on Monday October 7th, and after a multitude of misfortune, sadly left this earth on Friday October 11th. During the several days of his hospitalization, the family was balancing staying by his side at Cape Cod Hospital, and being present for the funeral, wake and burial of Patty's mother. As if it wasn't already a tough enough time saying goodbye to the matriarch of the family, David’s sudden illness and ultimate demise struck, and the family was left with another funeral to plan.

Anyone who is fortunate enough to know any member of the Nelson’s, knows that they are the epitome of a loving family. David and Patty raised their children to love each other, lean on each other and rely on each other. Their house is truly a home, and a warm welcoming place for all who enter.

David, although a quiet man, is leaving behind a loud lasting impact. He was a gentle giant, a kind soul, and a provider for his family. He worked hard to ensure they always had everything they needed and more. Unfortunately, David leaving this world far sooner than ever envisioned has left Patty and her family with a financial burden, on top of the devastation they are already facing.

Any donation would be deeply appreciated by this family, and no amount is too big or small. Please consider helping out a family that would do the same for others without batting an eye, as they learn to navigate this new life while missing a huge piece of their heart and home.

In lieu of flowers, all donations will help with funeral expenses and financial assistance as David was the family's main soure of income.
