Remembering Justin Nichols: Support for Brittney & Kids

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the sudden and untimely loss of Justin Nichols, a beloved husband, father, son, and a valued service technician at Titan Machinery in North Platte, Nebraska. On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Justin unexpectedly passed away, leaving his wife Brittney and their five children in a heartbreaking situation.

A few years ago, Justin and Brittney moved their family from Texas to North Platte to start anew and care for Brittney's grandmother. Justin joined the Titan Machinery team as a service technician before they even moved. He quickly became a valuable member of Titan's North Platte store—a dedicated, hardworking employee who showed up every day on time, ready to learn and help others. Though a man of few words, Justin’s humor and wisdom left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with. When he spoke, people listened—and laughed! He was universally loved by his teammates, who Justin considered his extended family.

Justin was the sole provider for his household, where Brittney cared full-time for their five children, two of whom have special needs, as well as Justin's mother. Brittney is now facing an unimaginable loss, compounded by the uncertainty of how to provide for their family.

As Brittney shared with us, they had planned to buy Christmas presents for their children together the weekend following his untimely death. Brittney and Justin were never the type to ask for help—they worked hard to meet their family’s needs. Now, in this moment of profound loss, Brittney needs the support of a community that loved and respected Justin as much as we did.

This GoFundMe has been created to assist the Nichols family with immediate expenses such as housing, utilities, food, funeral costs, and any other needs that arise as they navigate life without Justin. It is also our hope to bring a little light to their holiday season by helping provide Christmas gifts for the children.

Celebration of Justin's life is 11 a.m., Saturday, December 21, at Odean Colonial Chapel in North Platte, NE with Pastor Kem Reeder officiating. Visitation is prior to the service then cremation will follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are directed to the family.
