Support the Ni’lin Popular Committee
Donation protected
Unimelb Students for Palestine has been campaigning to donate remaining student union funds to the Ni’lin Popular Committee, a civil resistance group in the West Bank. Shamefully, the University and conservative forces in the student union have prevented us from doing so. Regardless, we’re determined to raise funds to support them.
Ni’lin is a village in the West Bank enduring the Israeli regime’s violent and repressive encroachment, facing the threats of both Israeli forces and aggressive settlers attacking and driving Palestinians from their land. Living under apartheid and escalating attacks from settlers in surrounding outposts, the Ni’lin Popular Committee organises mutual aid and grassroots resistance in their village. They provide essential legal aid to arrested Palestinians and have led protests against the expansion of the apartheid wall into Ni’lin.
Donations provide the Committee with the resources they need to stand up to Israeli terror — from food parcels to legal aid to the construction of wells that allow residents to access water.
