Support The Northport Leg Lamp Lighting!

Thank you for your support of the Northport Leg Lamp Lighting, being held November 30, 2024 starting at 6:30pm.

This all community, homespun event began spontaneously in 2005 when the Mayor of Northport and local hardware store proprietors stumbled upon an old gag gift. They had a good laugh, and gave it an honorary salute.

From that quirky moment, the event has grown to become a beloved community celebration of local talent, small-town charm, and our village’s unique ability to unite over something delightfully whimsical and create something truly spectacular.

Each year, on Small Business Saturday, this event draws roughly 1,500 people to our beloved Main Street. We are so excited to once again feature The Northport Tigerettes, The Posey School of Dance, and the Community Playhouse of Northport, as well as The Drama Kings who will play at our post-event reception.

It’s a full-village celebration. We encourage you to come early, stay late and appreciate all Northport has to offer!

Your support helps cover event costs like professional lighting and sound. Any proceeds feed our Firefly Lights Fund, enhancing future events and funding community sponsorships and scholarships.

Sponsorship packages are available, and we welcome restaurants to donate tapas to pre- and post-event community receptions. We encourage shops to stay open late and have VERY special surprises in store.

The event itself is free, with food/personal item donations for Island Harvest warmly encouraged. Merchant in-kind contributions fill our windows, inviting folks back to our beautiful harbor village to find perfect gifts, savor delicious treats and see a show!
