Support the Nyhan Family: A Tragic Loss and Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On December 9th, 2024, a devastating motorcycle accident forever changed the lives of the Nyhan family. Steven John Nyhan, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, tragically lost his life at the scene of the accident. His beloved wife of 38 years, Gabriele Nyhan, was critically injured and airlifted to the hospital, where she continues to undergo extensive surgeries. While Gabriele is now in stable condition, her journey to recovery will be long and challenging.
Steven and Gabriele were riding Monday evening when a pickup truck entered the path of their motorcycle at the intersection of U.S. 98 and Afton Road, causing a collision that separated them both from the motorcycle.
Steven and Gabriele are pillars of their community and family, known for their immense kindness and generosity. They built a beautiful life together, raising six children (Kayla, Ciera, Nicole, Emma, Patrick, and Michael) and cherishing their nine grandchildren. Their dedication to adopting and growing their family is a testament to their loving and selfless nature.
Steven, a proud veteran, was the bedrock of his family, providing unwavering support to his children and grandchildren. He and Gabriele often cared for their grandchildren, enabling their children to work and provide for their families. Losing Steven is an unimaginable heartbreak, and Gabriele’s recovery will require significant emotional, physical, and financial support.
This GoFundMe campaign has been created by the work family of their daughter, Ciera Sims, to help alleviate the financial burdens this tragedy has imposed on the Nyhan family.
The funds raised will be used for:
Medical Expenses: Covering Gabriele’s extensive surgeries, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.
Childcare Support: Ensuring the grandchildren are cared for during this difficult time.
Funeral Costs: Honoring Steven’s life with a proper farewell.
Emotional Support: Providing resources for therapy and counseling for the family as they navigate this profound loss.
The Nyhans have always opened their hearts to others. Now, we ask for your help in supporting them during their time of need. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping this incredible family rebuild their lives.
Thank you for your generosity and compassion. Please share this campaign to spread the word and support the Nyhan family in this critical moment. Together, we can help them through this unimaginable tragedy.
