Support the O'Leary's with their Medical Needs
Support the O'Leary Family, Jack, Chris, Sean and Braedon.
Hello all, on behalf of the O'Leary family I am contacting you to help support them as John undergoes treatment for his Pancreatic Cancer diagnosis.
John (aka Jack or Johnny) is a fighter to say the least. As many of you are aware, John O'Leary, son of Susan Hatch O'Leary and the late John O'Leary was born with Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs, digestive system and other organs in the body.
John has beaten the odds on so many accounts especially over this past year and 1/2 by being extremely cautious with Covid - 19. You can imagine the shock it was to find out earlier this month he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Given his medical condition, he is being watched and monitored carefully which means additional medications for treatment, longer stays in the hospital away from his family and friends and increased medical bills.
His wife Christine is an elementary school teacher in Haverhill (only source of income for the family) and has very very limited paid time off. His oldest son just started his junior year in college and his youngest will be entering seventh grade the first of September.
John is a warrior and has broken boundaries in his commitment to maintain a normal life style with his CF all these years. There are so many unknowns about what comes next but supporting this incredible family through this challenging time would be so deeply appreciated.
This Gofundme page was set up by Heidi Engstrom Tessmer, cousin of John, with the families approval.
