**Help the Pavlica Family Rebuild and Avoid Foreclosure**
Hi, my name is Hollie, and I’ve started this GoFundMe to help a dear family in desperate need.
My friends Jeremy and Lexi Pavlica are facing the heartbreaking possibility of foreclosure after their home was severely damaged by Hurricane Helene earlier this month. We're reaching out to the community to help keep this wonderful family housed.
Jeremy and Lexi, high school sweethearts, moved to Georgia in 2020 to be closer to Lexi’s family after her mother was diagnosed with ocular melanoma. They have two young children, Lucy (3) and Henry (5). Jeremy delivers semi-truck parts, and Lexi works as a waiter.
Since their marriage in 2018, owning a home has been their shared dream. They worked tirelessly to make it happen, taking overtime shifts, side jobs, and even donating plasma to save for a down payment. Finally, just weeks before Hurricane Helene hit, they closed on their first home. What should have been one of the happiest times of their lives quickly became a nightmare.
Hurricane Helene brought unexpected destruction to their town of Valdosta, Georgia. Like many families, the Pavlicas never imagined the storm would cause such widespread damage. Their home is now uninhabitable.
While they had insurance, the damage has been classified as flood-related, meaning the insurance won’t cover the repairs. Since the home is unsafe to live in, the family is staying in temporary housing, but they must leave by December. If they can’t repair the home, foreclosure will be their only option, leaving them homeless just as the holidays approach.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward making their home livable again. The damage includes:
- Replacing the breaker box
- Repairing broken windows
- Removing fallen trees
- Fixing roof damage
- Replacing damaged flooring
- Treating mold from water exposure
- Removing and replacing wet insulation
Thank you so much for taking the time to read their story. Your donations, shares, and words of encouragement mean everything to Jeremy, Lexi, and their children. With your help, we can keep this beautiful family in their home and restore the dream they worked so hard to build.
Let’s show them they are not alone. Every little bit makes a difference—thank you!
