Support The Pennington Family Through Tragedy

Yesterday the world lost an amazing person. Tragically and unexpectedly the Pennington family lost their beloved son Daniel Pennington who was an amazing son, husband, grandson, nephew, brother, cousin and father to four beautiful young children. Daniel was taken too early at the age of 30 years old. We are absolutely devastated by Daniel’s passing and we are all struggling to understand why something so tragic would happen to such an amazing human being. Daniel always set the example for his young children by showing them that hard work and dedication pays off. He was an amazing father and husband. Daniel would do anything for anyone and was always the life of the party. He worked very hard to support his wife (Lilly) and their 4 beautiful children (Natalia 13yrs old, Janessa 6yrs old, Sienna 4yrs old, & Ethan 2yrs old). Lilly is a stay at home mom raising their young children.
March of 2021 Daniel, Lilly and their children moved to Texas to pursue a new job in aerospace with Boeing. They were just starting their lives in a brand new place with no family or friends to lean on. They were working so hard to build a beautiful life for their children. Their new home was set to be completed in early December just in time to celebrate Daniels favorite time of the year, Christmas with his very beloved children and wife.
Tuesday September 28th Daniel woke up not feeling well or feeling like himself. He asked Lilly to take him to the urgent care to see if they could run some tests to figure out why he wasn’t feeling well. Lilly loaded the kids up in the car along with Daniel and made their way to the Urgent Care a few miles from home. Upon arrival to the urgent care Daniel explained that he was experiencing pain in his left arm, tightness in his chest and shortness of breath at which point they were turned away because his main complaint was shortness of breath and they said they were going to do the same and send him to the Emergency Room, at no point did they offer or attempt to call an ambulance. The urgent care suspected that shortness of breath could be heart related and they turned them away, no medical attention whatsoever was provided at the urgent care facility. They advised Lilly to take Daniel to the Emergency Room to be on the safe side. They all loaded back up into the car and proceeded to the Emergency Room. On their way to the Emergency Room, Daniel looked over at Lilly and said “Something is not right, something is happening, I don’t know what is happening.” At which point Daniel began to have what appeared to be a seizure. Lilly was forced to pull over immediately and begun giving Daniel CPR outside of the vehicle on the side of the road. All of the children witnessed the unimaginable, Daniel was unconscious and non responsive. Natalia called 911. Ambulance arrived and they performed life saving measures but Lilly could’nt feel his pulse.
Daniel was taken to the Emergency Room at which time they attempted additional life saving measures for around an hour. It has been determined that Daniel had a Heart Attack. We are still in complete disbelief and feel like we are living in a nightmare. Lilly had no one there to help while she went into the hospital to see Daniel and receive the dreaded news of the passing of her beloved husband and BEST FRIEND. Lilly then had to make the hard decision to bring the kids in to say their goodbyes to their father, this is a families worst nightmare. As a mother this is the absolute most unimaginable thing to ever have to experience. Not only have his innocent children lost their beloved Father but Lilly Lost her BEST FRIEND and Johnny and Kari lost their DEARLY LOVED SON. This is just unreal.
Our family is shattered by this tragedy and we are in need of help to bring Daniel, his family and all of their belongings home to California.
Any form of donation will go a long way covering burial expenses, transportation, and any other costs that arise. Daniel was the sole provider for the family and the unexpected expenses of death will be very hard for Lilly to bear on her own. With the help of family, friends and anyone who feels compelled to help, Lilly can bring Daniel home and lay him to rest where he grew up here in California. We are beyond thankful for everyone that has reached out and shown their remorse through these tough times. Services and other dates will be shared as soon as they are determined.
Daniel was an organ donor and will continue to share his love with others. Daniels self less ways and giving nature will continue to show through his organ donation his cornea's will save two young children's vision.
Daniel lived an adventurous life, cared and loved unconditionally and would give the shirt off of his back. His vibrant personality will forever live in our hearts. We love and miss you Daniel Pennington <3
Thank you – Love Dearly, Pennington Family
