Support the people of Old Homosassa after Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene has devastated our small waterfront community of Old Homosassa. However, with devastation, there is always a bright light of people coming together to help one another. Neighbors helping neighbors remove drywall, rip up carpet, remove soiled furniture, and remove personal items from flooded homes. There have also been countless community volunteers providing hot meals to people as they continue with the cleanup efforts. Our community is wonderful!

As people begin to rebuild, the need for basic home supplies (mattresses, dressers, sheets, towels, pots/pans, clothes, food, the list goes on etc.) is necessary.

The donated funds will be given directly to the people in Old Homosassa who are in need. For instance, there are six teachers at the Homosassa Elementary School who have been displaced and are in need of basic items. Darci Smith will present the six teachers with the donations on 11/7/2024. Thank you for your support.
