Support Poor People's Army (currently FL Hurricane Relief)
Donation protected
As of October 2024, we are now raising money to assist in organizing and relief efforts led by our FL chapter related to the recent hurricanes' devastation. Tara Colon, who recently went viral in a portion of the Channel 5 feature on us, is a longtime leader in Poor People's Army / PPEHRC. She has experienced homelessness and been a longtime advocate. She had her daughter Sandra Rivera at a tent city set up by PPEHRC, and has raised Sandra to be a leader in the movement.
Tara is embedded in communities across central Florida. Please help us get much needed supplies to the chapter led by her, support for their organizing work, and other pressing needs of Poor People's Army.
As you know we do not accept any corporate money, including corporate foundations that dampen or censor radical movement work. We are supported by individuals and the collective network of our organized poor families, who give so much to keep this work going. We beg you to give what you can to support this work.
THANK YOU!

This fundraiser originally started as
Support the Poor People's Army March on the RNC and DNC
On July 15, 2024, the Poor People’s Army (also known as the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign) will march on the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee to challenge the corporate status quo. In the ensuing weeks, we'll continue marching nearly 100 miles to Chicago, culminating on August 19, 2024 with a rally confronting the Democratic National Convention. The march will stop in cities and towns, sharing a vision of empowered communities independent of these corporate political parties. The Poor People’s Army has been marching on RNC and DNC conventions for more than 20 years, a testament to the resilience of the marginalized. It is a powerful symbol of unity, and an organizing tool to bring pockets of revolutionaries together for ongoing collective action.
The Democratic and Republican parties serve corporate interests, necessitating this march to rise above their corrupt reign and declare them a #deadend. We march against a system that serves only the privileged. We march for the right to truly live. Join us!
Will you help financially support our work at the RNC and DNC this year? We need your leadership and support! $5. $20. $100. Any donation of any amount can make a difference. What amount can you spare to help us push this work forward?
We march because poverty is violence, and the two-party system is guilty of crimes against humanity. The Poor People’s Army March demands a dismantling of the system perpetuating suffering. The Poor People’s Army believes in radical system change, focusing on building the one power no one can control - people power.
We will unite people from coast to coast, cities to prairies, family farms to crumbling factory towns. Poor and working people in the U.S. need to wrestle control away from corporations and the rich, to plan and adapt to these changes in a way that benefits all humanity. We know the existing political parties, both Democrats and Republicans, are controlled by elite corporate powers, and will only lead poor and working people to a literal dead end.
