Angelina is a beautiful 15-year-old dancing queen, full of life, love and kindness. She was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare, life-threatening cancer. Angelina’s cancer is so uncommon that she was quickly accepted for treatment at one of the nations best hospitals: St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
As a parent, you would do anything to provide the best health care for your children, whatever it takes! Two weeks ago Lindha and Angelina immediately boarded a plane for Memphis to begin her treatment. The resulting efforts to treat Angelina meant that Linhda halted her long-term employment with the State of Oregon leaving Mike and the kids behind in order for Mike to financially support the family. Upon arriving to Tennessee Doctors informed Lindha that dear Angelina had Stage IV Sarcoma. The diagnosis was worse than they thought. That week, Mike and Liam got on a plane and headed to Tennessee to be together.
For those of you who don’t really know the family let me tell you a little bit about them. Mike and Lindha have been together for over 27 years. Our family has always referred to Mike as our brother. Lindha was the best thing that happened to him. Together, they have 4 beautiful children - Austin, Sirena, Angelina and little Liam. Mike and Linhda have ALWAYS helped others. They are the hardest working - most selfless couple I know. Their love for each other and their family reflects in all they do.
This is a devastating time that should be focused on comforting Angelina and helping her beat this horrific cancer. I humbly ask you to help lessen the burden of having to worry about finances. If you are reading this, I thank you in advance for your help, contributions, thoughts and prayers. I know that everyone may not be able to contribute and that’s totally okay. A prayer blessing Angelina, a prayer that she beats this disease and a prayer for the strength and courage of her family would be greatly appreciated.
