Support the Rebuild of Jeremy Russell's Art Studio

Hello All,
I have not been able to put Helene into words. I have tried, nothing I say has been poignant enough for such an event. As someone who is from North Carolina, I feel like it requires a novel or a narrative to give it the girth it needs to be relevant. Especially for those who’ve known the River Arts District from its early days.
I had only just returned to the River Arts District a few months before Helene hit, feeling so grateful to be back in a space that feels like home. Sadly, like 80% of creators here, I lost my studio in the flooding. It is beyond repair. I lost works in progress, my paints, canvases, tools, lighting—so many things essential to my work.
As I look to the future—as an artist, father, husband, and business owner—I have to consider what it takes to rebuild. It’s taken time to fully assess the damages and figure out what it will take to keep Jeremy Russell Art & the Russell | Armstrong Gallery alive. So, I’m reaching out to you, my friends and community, for support in acquiring/re-acquiring constructions materials, art supplies, light fixtures, employee compensation, and utilities.
Asking for help does not come easily to me, so please know that I appreciate any support more than I can express. Thank you to everyone who’s shown Asheville/WNC love and care in the aftermath of Helene. If you’re able to contribute, know that it means the world to me as our community works together to come back stronger.
With Love,
Jeremy Russell
