Support the Recovery of Jano Ethiopian Restaurant

My name is Ashenafi and I am Eskedar Abawa’s brother in law. This Fund raiser is on behalf of Eskedar Abawa and Fikremariam Worku. Ten years ago, Eskedar and Fikremariam took a leap of faith and opened Jano Ethiopian Restaurant in Baltimore, MD. It was a dream come true, a place where they could share the vibrant and rich culture of Ethiopia through their food. For the past decade, they poured their hearts and souls into that restaurant, working tirelessly 16 hours a day, seven days a week, to create a warm and welcoming environment for the Baltimore community. Sadly, the restaurant’s building caught fire on Sunday, September 22, 2024. That resulted in reducing Jano Restaurant into ashes in a matter of moments. For the owners Fikremariam and Eskedar, this wasn’t just a business; it was their livelihood, a space where they shared their rich culture and cuisine with the community.
In this moment of crisis, Fikremariam and Eskedar need our support. Rebuilding will take significant resources and time, but with the help of their community, they can rise from the ashes once again. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in helping them recover and restore what was lost.
