Ethel & Annie Mae’s Soul Food Kitchen was born from a deep love of family, community, and the belief that food is more than nourishment—it’s a connection to our roots. I founded the business in 2005 to honor my grandmother Annie Mae and my mother Ethel, two incredible women who instilled in me a passion for food and family. Annie Mae specialized in desserts that brought comfort, and Ethel created hearty meals that brought people together. Together, their legacy inspired me to keep their memory alive by sharing their recipes with the world.

For years, our restaurant was a space where people could experience the warmth of soul food while creating cherished memories. Unfortunately, we had to close our doors in July 2023. But our story is far from over. We are raising funds to launch a pop-up restaurant—a new chapter in our journey that will allow us to bring our beloved dishes back to the community.

This pop-up isn’t just about serving food; it’s about creating an experience.
