Support the Revival of Sunnyside's Iconic Mural

The Sunnyside mural has been a neighborhood staple since its creation in 2010. It swiftly became a beloved and iconic landmark within the community, and for fourteen years, countless people have crossed paths with this unique and culturally significant piece of Sunnyside. Its vibrant depiction of local pride not only resonated with those near it, but also caught the attention of a broader audience. The mural's impact was so profound that it inspired the logo for an NBC show centered around the American Dream.
Unfortunately, the wall that the mural was on was starting to crumble and we were left with no choice but to re-stucco the wall and the entire side of the building, and the mural had to be removed.
Luckily, the artist who initially created the mural, Victor Ving, has agreed to recreate the mural. Victor, along with his wife, Lisa Beggs, went on to create a nationwide series of postcard murals that have graced the walls of towns and cities across the country. To see their awesome work, visit the Greetings Tour website.
With your help, Victor and his team will return and recreate the mural that started it all. The new mural will be a refined version of its predecessor, and will include several protective coatings that will preserve it for years to come. We are seeking the community's support to restore and repaint this cherished artwork together.
