Support the Richardson Family Through Kara's Stroke Recovery

On September 23, Kara Richardson, wife of Brett Richardson, had a major stroke. She was airlifted to Billings where she underwent two surgeries and was in a coma. She spent 2 weeks in ICU in Billings and another 2 weeks hospitalized there.

On Thursday, October 24, Kara was airlifted to Craig Stroke and Spinal Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where she will be for a minimum of 60 to 90 days working hard at rehabilitation. Family participation is an expected, integral part of rehabilitation, so Brett and the kids will be traveling back and forth to learn how to best support their beloved wife and mother in her recovery. Besides medical, there are weeks of lost wages, travel, and other expenses which will include home renovations to accommodate her needs.

Holli Richardson, Brett's mother, has been dividing her time between staying with the children and supporting Kara at the hospital. Brett and Kara have 3 school-age children to provide for as well as all the medical bills that keep pouring in. As you can imagine, the financial burden is enormous.

Kara has spent countless hours caring for and helping children and families throughout her career and could really use our help and support now.
