Support the Rivera Family During Crisis

Thank you for your interest in helping a truly wonderful family during their time of need. My name is Amanda and I’m trying to help my sister Kim, her husband Cesar, and their 3 children. My brother-in-law has been hospitalized since being hit by a truck while driving his motorcycle. Cesar is in critical but stable condition. His injuries are quite serious and extensive. It has not been determined how long he will need to be in the hospital. We do know that he will not be able to walk or work for an estimated 6 months at the very earliest, quite possibly longer.

Cesar and Kim have been together for 18 years, and I've had the pleasure of knowing him since we were all in high school. He is a remarkably kind, selfless and generous man. Cesar always shows up for his family and friends. Always. I do not exaggerate when I tell you he has the biggest heart and treats everyone like family. He's the guy that looks out for everyone, and will be at your house the same day if you need anything. He's the guy who's going to notice you struggling on the side of the road with car problems, whether it's rain, snow, or sunshine he's going to pull over even with his whole family in tow to help you get on your way (he's actually done this). He lives his life believing it is our duty to help others, and that good fortune will be returned. He has been a rock hard foundation for Kim and their kids, and their sole provider financially.

Any funds donated will go directly to Kim to help relieve some of the financial burden their family is now under. Although Cesar has a great job, insurance does not even come close to covering the bills. This has created undue stress for both Kim & Cesar when they need to be focused on Cesar’s recovery.
