Help the Romeo Children after Brenda's Passing

Donation protected

Hi there.

Thank you for stopping by. I'm both glad and sad that you are here - glad that you have taken the time to read this story, but also sad to have this story to share.

I'm here to write a story about two wonderfully smart, vibrant, hilarious kids (Ethan - 17 and Bella - 14), as well as their loving parents - Brenda (Rose) and Carlo.

Although Brenda and Carlo separated many years ago, they were dedicated to raising their kids to be thoughtful and intelligent humans. After their separation, Brenda remained in California with the children and Carlo moved to Ohio to support family. Although this move brought with it the many challenges of long-distance co-parenting, they found ways to always put their children first.

Unfortunately, Brenda was diagnosed with stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) last August. Although she put up a valiant fight, her body did not respond to chemotherapy. Her tumors continued to grow and the cancer spread throughout her body. As such, she passed away earlier this evening - November 8th, 2024.

The kids are doing the best they can to stay strong with these changes while also processing such big and challenging emotions. I would be remiss not to say how proud I am of them or how strong they are. But all of this leaves Carlo with many unexpected expenses - including final expenses for his children's mother, as well as the cost of moving the kids across the country from California to live with him in Ohio. Although he is not the type to ask for help, he certainly could use it right now... which is why I have created this page for them.

I know it can be a difficult time of year for many. But if you happen to have any amount that you might be able to share with these wonderful kids and their father, I know it would also mean the world to them. And if you don't have anything to share, please send some positive thoughts and prayers (if you are the praying type) to them as they navigate this challenging situation.

We do not have service details, yet, but I will update this story with them as soon as they are figured out.

Any funds that are leftover (if any) will be used to help the kids with college (it is Ethan's senior year).
