Let's Support Flabba Holt! (A video from my Youtube Channel)
Hello, my name is Allan Taipalus, and I'm fundraising for Errol Carter better known as Flabba Holt, the founder, bassist and last surviving member of the legendary Roots Radics backing band from Jamaica.
The Roots Radics have contributed on hundreds of Jamaican reggae albums and have made countless of hits for various artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Eek-A-Mouse, John Holt, Barrington Levy, Yellowman, Michael Prophet etc, and they are known for being one of the, if not the best backing bands to ever come out of Jamaica. In my own personal opinion, no other bands have contributed more to reggae music than they have, but unfortunately they don't get the credit that they deserve, and often times these phenomenal musicians are being robbed of their royalties and have not been paid their fair share for their hard work and contributions.
I spoke to Flabba recently about how so many Jamaican reggae artists including himself have been ripped off by the big players in the industry *cough*Greensleeves*cough* and he mentioned how he himself even struggles to make ends meet at times, so I suggested to make a gofundme where fans can support him if they like, which he thought was a good idea.
Though he was a bit hesitant in the beginning because he doesn't want to look like a beggar, but I clarified to him, that these donations are from fans around the world that want to support him and not a charity.
So, if you're a fan and would like to support Flabba Holt, feel free to leave a donation. I know that Flabba will be very grateful for it.
100% of the funds will go to Flabba Holt himself.

*Important Notice* If you decide to donate to Flabba, just know that the reason it doesnt show his name as a beneficiary right before you send the donation is because he lives in Jamaica, and gofundme does not support bank accounts from Jamaica aswell as many other countries, so the way we do it, is that once a month, I will send 100% of the money that has been donated, directly into Flabba's account. I speak with him daily, and one reason he made this video is because I don't want people thinking that this is some sort of scam, I just want to help Flabba because I'm a great fan of his work and I think it is very unfair how many big albums he and his band played on, and on many of them they never even collected a single cent from them. So that's why I suggested to him that I could start this gofundme page so fans can donate if they are willing and able to.
