Hey! Thanks for opening this link. Let’s be honest: No one ever wants to set up a GoFundMe. We all prefer to be on the giving end of these campaigns rather than the asking end, but here we are. Thank you for coming here to read our story. We are grateful for your prayers and support.
Our Story: In January of this year, Rob and Christy were laid off due to our struggling economy. It was a tough season, but we were able to use our savings to pay our living expenses until we both found work together at a start-up, Christian Publishing Company. We were both hired into leadership positions and were proud of our work, feeling like it aligned with our faith and individual callings.
This week we discovered that our positions were being eliminated and that the company could no longer meet its payroll obligations effective immediately. Our hearts are heavy for the vision we supported and the sudden job loss by not just our family but the many others we know and love from our time there.
What We’re Doing: We are both actively applying for jobs to meet our immediate financial needs. But God has given us a burden in our hearts to build a better business. We believe our skills are uniquely suited to the work ahead of us, and we desire to provide employment opportunities for our former co-workers as contractors. We also want to support businesses in our network by helping them increase their visibility and impact. We’d like to use our 20 years of combined experience in sales and marketing strategy to impact individuals and businesses positively, and if we can help you by doing that, please reach out to us.
Our Goals: As most of you know, we are a family of seven. We support Rob’s mom, Mary (Queenie), and our four children, Jack, Emi, Madi, and Ali. Although our fundraising goal is BIG, so are the expenses to care for seven people. (Our biggest expenses are housing and food) If we can raise beyond our goal, we can extend the runway we need to build our business and move quickly toward our goal of financial solvency.
We know many families are facing the same challenges we are. We understand that many people love us but cannot support us financially. We covet your prayers. We love you. Thank you for reading our story and praying with us as we look ahead with hope.
