Support the search for Scott Graham

“We are so grateful for the help and support we have received to find Scott. We are extremely worried and hope to bring him home safely.” – The Graham family.
To the caring community of loved ones, friends and advocates of the Graham family:
Scott Alexander Graham, a 67-year-old resident of Victoria, BC, Canada, was reported missing in Spain on July 16. When last in contact with family, Scott was without his passport, medication or cell phone. Graham was left without his life-saving medication on July 11 when the bus he was on drove away without him at a rest stop while bound for San Sebastian (from Vigo). Graham received a kidney transplant in 2014 for a genetic condition known as polycystic kidney disease and relies on daily anti-rejection medication. Due to this, he is understood to be in poor health and expected to have been experiencing cognitive impairment and confusion.
He made it to San Sebastian and went to the Emergency room at Donostia University Hospital. On July 14, after trying unsuccessfully to retrieve his bag from the bus company, Scott went to the police station in San Sebastian to report his bag missing. The police told him he must go to Madrid to get a new passport. From what we know, Scott was last seen at the Canadian Embassy in Madrid on July 15th and visited La Paz University Hospital earlier that day. He did not show up for his second appointment to receive his new passport at the Embassy on Monday, July 18th.
Despite their best efforts to locate him from afar, he still has not been found, and his family feels as though they have no choice but to go to Europe and continue the search.
Where your donation will go: We are raising funds to cover the costs of an urgent trip to Spain. Georgia’s partner James (Scott’s son-in-law) will be accompanying Kaiza and Georgia on the trip for additional support. Travel expenses will include 3 return flights, travel within Spain, accommodation and, due to the uncertainty of this crisis, an emergency fund. We want to support them in being financially prepared for hospital bills, emergency travel documents, flights and any unforeseen costs in helping them bring Scott safely home. We also want to help with the loss of wages for bills and rent as they will need to immediately take time off work for an indefinite amount of time.
