We are coming together as family, friends and the community to support the Sekhon Family.
Harsh, Bobby and Noor lost their father unexpectedly in 2011, when they were 20, 12 and 6 years old respectively and Harsh was sprung into the role of being a "Father-figure" and assist his Mom as an income provider and thus joined the workforce.
Then in 2017 their Mom was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma (kidney cancer), which she fought with radiation, chemotherapy, and surgeries. While this was all occurring they received even more devastating news that their mom also had Glioblastoma (a very aggressive brain cancer).
Even with this news their mom and their family together battled hard, taking her to various hospitals, drs appointments , enduring rigourous treatments and brain surgeries. Their mom never once backed down from the battle, smiling and ensuring her loved ones she was going to be just fine. However, on July 5th, 2019 she passed away and joined her husband in heaven.
For 2 years Harsh slept on a couch beside his mom helping her to the bathroom multiple times at night, Bobby and Noor helped with their mom's care administering her meds, feeding her and bathing her. These 3 kids stepped up and did so much for their mom at such young stages of their lives, that is so commendable.
Now without both parents, this family needs us more than ever. Together we can lessen the pain and support them emotionally, spiritually and financially. As Harsh is the sole supporter for his family, we are raising funds to assist with Bobby and Noor's college education costs.
