Coming Together For The Shafer’s

In the blink of an eye, the world lost an incredible man and heaven gained a perfect angel.
On Thursday, September 19, 2019, Dymond Shafer was called home to be with the Lord. The evening prior was nothing more than a typical Wednesday night for the Shafer family. Dymond had left their home to go over & work at the house they are in the process of flipping as he did so many nights, while Linn set out to mow the yard. As Dymond was standing at the top of a ladder working to repair guttering, he lost his footing & fell off of the ladder. The impact of the fall caused a devastating and unrecoverable injury to his brain. There are no words to describe the pain & heartbreak so many are feeling.
Dymond was so many things to so many people. Most importantly, he was a devout Christian who is undoubtedly rejoicing in the arms of the Lord. He was a devoted husband to Linnie & an amazing all-hands-on father to their five children, Casey, Adrian, Amaya, Amelia & Ari Ryan, a loving son & brother, & a very generous, hilarious, selfless friend to so many. Dymond always made everyone feel welcome & never knew a stranger. Dymond was a champion for others and there does not exist a heart that is not a little fuller from having known him.
Dymond would jump to help anyone. You didn't have to ask, he would just act. Dymond worked very hard to place their family in the position for Linnie to be able to stay home with their three young babies. Dymond's entire world revolved around his wife & children & everything he did was with them in mind.
I think the best way we can honor Dymond & his memory is to take a little time to serve his precious family through this unspeakable tragedy. Whether it's prayers, physically holding them up, sending sweet notes or messages over the coming days, weeks, & months, running errands, dropping a meal by, or lending a hand with Dymond's three precious babies while Linnie grieves, handles arrangments, or just takes a moment alone to process. No deed is too small or unappreciated during this time.
We have started this GoFundMe page for those of you who would like to contribute financially - and same goes here, there is no amount too small or unappreciated. All contributions will go directly to Linnie to help aid in the costs of services and life going forward with their children.
Thank you all for being here to care for such an amazing family as they mourn the profound loss of the largest piece of their world.
