I still can’t believe I am writing this on behalf of my incredible friend and her family, but alas…
One of my dearest friend’s husband has been diagnosed with Stage-3 stomach cancer. His prognosis and accompanied course of treatment has not been yet solidified, but the best case scenario is aggressive chemo and surgery, taking place over the next few months. While Ryan has medical insurance and a supportive job, the Sharps are already feeling the pinch of extreme medical bills along with concern over losing the single income Ryan provides for their household. Their once significant savings dwindled over the past year, as they recently made a move from the Portland area to Bend for Ryan’s job.
I humbly ask you to consider donating to the Sharp family. Aimee and Ryan are absolutely salt-of-the-earth people - some of the most generous and servant-hearted individuals I know. They are community builders, connectors, and the first people to step up to serve other families in crisis with meals, childcare and compassionate friendship. Ryan is a devoted, adventurous, engaged, warm father to their four children and a loving and kind husband to Aimee.
My wish is that we can alleviate some financial worry so that Ryan can focus on beating cancer and Aimee can focus on supporting him and their children through this huge life change and challenge. Any money donated will go towards medical and other bills.
